Buffy Dyan (Crawford) Burkett

Buffy Dyan Crawford Burkett, age 44, of Lumber City, died Saturday, December 10, 2022.

Mrs. Burkett was born in Jacksonville Fla. and is preceded in death by her parents, Clarence Cecil Crawford and Ruby Yvonne Trowell Crawford.

She was a Homemaker and a member of Lumber City Baptist Church.

Buffy enjoyed listening to music, drawing, tinkering with her hands, and writing.

She enjoyed taking care of her family, cooking, and spending time with them, and she especially loved her grandchildren.

Survivors include her husband, Brent Lee Burkett of Lumber City, daughter, Baley Dyan Burkett of Lumber City; son and daughter-in-law, Bryce Lee and Elizabeth Burkett of Glenwood; sisters, Cynthia Lee Crawford Griffin (Chris) of Hazlehurst and Donna Joyce Bryant of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren, Madelyn Burkett, Jackson Burkett, and Kinsley Burkett.

Visitation will be held Tuesday evening from 5:00-7:00 pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, December 14, 2022, at 2:00 pm at the Lumber City Baptist Church with Rev. Ashley Tyree officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City with Rev. Glen Stinson officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be Kevin Yawn and Nathan Newham.

Active pallbearers will be Matthew Best, Drake Moore, Brad Burkett, Bill Newham, Craig Stinson, and John Stinson.

The Burkett Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
