Bunny Minton (Gay) Scott

Thelma “Bunny” Gay Minton Scott, age 69, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, January 29, 2021 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Ms. Minton was born May 10, 1951. She was a lifelong residence of Jeff Davis County and was born to the late Robert Edward Gay and Audrey Inez Stewart Gay. She was retired from Coats and Clark, loved flowers and gardening and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church. 

She is preceded in death by a sister, Mary Merritt and brother Johnny Clements.

Survivors include three sons, Barry Minton of Hazlehurst, Michael Minton (Allison) of Aiken S.C. and Chad Minton of  Hazlehurst; sister, Carolyn Googe of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Colby Minton, Meagan Kinard, Alyssa Brown, Cody Minton and Hope Minton; great-granddaughter, Leighton Kinard and great-grandson Asher Kinard; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Graveside funeral services will be held Wednesday, February 03, 2021 at 2:00pm at Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Royce Hulett officiating.
