Camille Kimball Obituary

Mrs. Camille Lynn “Boots” Kimball, age 85, of Graham, Georgia, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2025. She was the devoted wife of the late Charles Foster Kimball Sr., to whom she was married for 41 years.

Boots was born on January 25, 1940 and grew up in the Graham community of Jeff Davis/Appling County, Georgia, and attended Hazlehurst High School, where she was a proud member of the girls’ basketball team. Throughout her life, she was faithful to God. She was a member of Graham United Methodist Church, where she was very involved in church activities.

She earned the nickname "Boots" at a young age after being stricken with polio, which left her legs unable to function unless she wore her father's boots to walk.
Boots was also instrumental in the development of the 911 emergency response program in Appling County, where she worked for many years before retiring in the early 2000s.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hollis Howard Lynn and Cynthia Viola Clark; her siblings, Beulah Williams, Howard Lynn, Amy Davenport, Juanice "Micky" Hesters, and Jarman Lynn; and her beloved daughter and grandson Janet Dianne McDaniel Ali and grandson, Christopher Ali, who lived with her and held a special place in her heart.

Boots is survived by her children: James David McDaniel, Curtis Lavan McDaniel and wife Debra, and Brenda Joyce McDaniel Stewart; her stepchildren, Charles Kimball Jr., Bambi Kimball, and Stephanie Young; as well as 22 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren.

The family will receive friends for visitation at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 20th, at Graham United Methodist Church. A funeral service will follow at 2:00 p.m., with interment immediately afterward in the church cemetery.

Family and friends are invited to gather for a meal in the church social hall following the service.

Active pallbearers will be Charles Kimball, Jr., TJ Stewart, Caleb Stewart, Noah Stewart, Isaac Stewart, and Timothy Stewart, Jr.

Honorary pallbearers will be the staff and officers of the Appling County 911 and Sheriff's Department.
