Obituary

Mr. Allen Partin, age 55, of Hazlehurst, died Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at Community Hospice in Vidalia, with his family by his side.

Mr. Partin was born July 06, 1967 in Lakeland Georgia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and Cecil Curtis Partin, and Elizabeth Harnage, and brother, Greg Partin.

Allen was a Simple man, he loved summer days, setting under a shade tree enjoying life.  He was an avid Georgia Bulldog fan, loved music, playing cards and shooting pool with his family. He also enjoyed riding his Buggy every day with his furry friends, Dixie Ann and Tucker. His family called him a full-time bull shooter, and the bigger the crowd the better he liked it. He attended the Hazlehurst Church of God.

Allen was truly a family man, loved his family dearly especially his granddaughter, Allie, and spending time with them, he will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Angie Jump Partin of Hazlehurst, son, Lance Allen Partin of Hazlehurst; brothers, Scottie Partin of Hazlehurst and Jason Bohannon of Hazlehurst; sister, Kimberly Partin of Hazlehurst; one granddaughter, Miss Allie Grace Partin; sister-in-law, Amanda O’Berry of Baxley and brother-in-law, Luke Rowland of Hazlehurst; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Friday, June 30, 2023 (which is Angie and Allen’s  37th Wedding Anniversary) at the Hazlehurst Church of God, visitation will begin at 10:00am and the funeral service will follow at 11:00am with Mrs. Tammy Sharpe, Rev. John Nunes and Rev. Thomas Colter officiating.

Interment will follow in the Liberty Community Church Cemetery.

Honorary pallbearers will be his nieces,  and  friends, Rodney Sharpe, Dennis Yawn, James Ray, and Tommy Harrison.

Active pallbearers will be Scottie Partin, Luke Rowland, Samuel O’Berry, Shawn Sellers, Jeff Johns, Wade Watts, Mitchell Faulk and Carl Haynes.

The Partin Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
