Cornelious Rex Hinnant

Mr. Cornelious “Rex” Hinnant, age 63, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Friday, September 27, 2024.

He was born in Gainesville, Florida on July 24, 1961 to Arthur H. Sr. and Beatrice Hinnant and lived most of his life in Hazlehurst. He worked as a logger for the Edge family for many years. Anyone who knew him knew he was hard working and energetic and would do anything for anyone. He was a man of men who would give you the shirt off his back. He had a big heart and loved his family and all his girls very much. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife of 42 years, Regina Hinnant.

Mr. Hinnant is survived by his son, Ryan Hinnant of Hazlehurst; his daughter, Hollie Medders (Clint Carter) of Hazlehurst; four brothers, Arthur Jr., Anthony, Chris, and Rob Hinnant; three grandchildren, Ashlyn, Adrian, and Amberlyn Hawkins, all of Hazlehurst; a special “adopted” daughter, Ashley Haley of Ft. Myers, Fl; and several nieces and nephews that he thought the world of.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
