Deborah Harrison Obituary

With heavy hearts and deep love, we announce the passing of our beloved mother, who left this world with the same grace, strength, and dignity that she carried throughout her life. She was a true warrior—resilient, unwavering, and full of heart—yet she passed with peace and grace, surrounded by the family she so dearly cherished.

She found beauty in the simple things: the glow of the sun through the trees, the flutter of a hummingbird’s wings, the laughter of her grandchildren. Her home was filled with warmth, her arms with comfort, and her words with wisdom. She lived a life of quiet courage and unshakable faith, always putting the needs of others before her own.

Our mother loved fiercely and forgave freely. She nurtured, protected, and inspired. Whether through a kind word, a homemade meal, or a gentle touch, she made those around her feel seen, heard, and loved. Her legacy is not only in the memories we hold dear but in the way she made people feel—safe, special, and wholly loved.

We are especially grateful for Joann, whose presence, loyalty, and care provided our mother with comfort, joy, and laughter during her final days. She became not just a friend, but family, and we are forever thankful for the bond they shared.

Though we are heartbroken, we find peace in knowing that her spirit soars free, her strength remains within us, and her love will never fade.

She was the cherished daughter of William D. Fales and Weta Mathews Fales, and is survived by her loving sister Kathy F. Hammock (Randall Hammock); her devoted sons Colby W. Harrison (Gena Harrison), Vincent T. Harrison (Danielle Harrison), and Garrett H. Harrison (Lee Ann Harrison). She adored all nine of her grandchildren and will miss them dearly. And many cousins and extended family and friends.

In loving memory, we honor a woman who lived like a warrior and passed with grace.

A visitation will be held at Crosby Chapel in Baxley on Friday, June 20, 2025, from 1pm-2pm followed by a celebration of life service at 2pm.
