On Tuesday, March 7, Jeanette Sandifer Graham, beloved wife, mother, and grandmother, passed away.
She was eighty-five years old. Born in 1937 in Brookfield, Georgia to Ben and Georgia Mae Sandifer, Jeanette attended South Georgia College in Douglas, Georgia. There she met her husband of sixty-six years, Charles Graham, of Hazlehurst, Georgia.
Jeanette pursued a career with the City of Atlanta government, working in the Finance Department, before retiring to Tifton in 2002, after thirty-five years of service to the City.
Jeanette enjoyed home-making, gardening, decorating, and entertaining family and friends. An accomplished cook, Jeanette enjoyed well-attended dinners at Thanksgiving and other occasions.
A deeply dedicated and selfless wife and mother, Jeanette is survived by sons Chuck and Reggie, and four beautiful grandchildren.
The funeral will be held on Sunday, March 12, at 2 P.M., at Wainright Funeral Home in Hazlehurst.
Visitation will begin at 1:00.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations might be made to the First Baptist Church of Tifton, or the Boys and Girls Club of Greater Cook County.
