Dylan Brown Obituary

Dylan Tray Brown, age 18, of Denton, passed away Wednesday, March 19, 2025.

Dylan was born on January 09, 2007, in Savannah, Georgia and lived in Jeff Davis County all his life. He attended the Jeff Davis County School System and was currently employed by Pilgrim’s Pride in Douglas working in sanitation and was an exemplary employee. Growing up, Dylan attended the Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church of God and was later baptized at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Hazlehurst.

Dylan’s family describes him as “small, but tough.” He was protective of the people he loved and loyal to his brothers and little sister. He was very artistic and enjoyed crafting and making paracord bracelets and dog collars. Dylan was a talented swimmer and enjoyed being outdoors and fishing. He also loved listening to music and playing parkour.

Dylan is preceded in death by his maternal grandmother, Penny Rentz; maternal great-grandmother, Rita Mae Lowe; his paternal grandparents, Hansel and Audra Brown; and his dog, Diesel.

His family includes his mother, Casey Partin of Douglas; his mother-figures, Paula Wilcox and Crystal Rowell, both of Hazlehurst, and Grace Gibbs of Denton; his father-figures, Bill Wilcox of Denton, and Tony Rowell of Hazlehurst; his girlfriend, Faith Gibbs of Denton; his brothers, Caiden Rowell of Broxton, Bronson Partin of Douglas, Reece Wilcox of Hazlehurst, Sawyer Rowell of Hazlehurst, and Jayden Cothran of Lumber City; his sisters, Maelee Partin of Douglas, Cheyenne Stafford (Austin) of Denton, and Hope Partin of Ozark, AL; his grandmother, Barbara Hester of Hazlehurst; his great-grandmother, Hazel Partin of Abbeville, AL; his uncle, Rusty Brantley (Chellsea) of Alamo; his aunt, Jessica Parkerson (Shane) of Nichols; and numerous others who loved him dearly.

Funeral Services will be held Sunday, March 23, 2025, at Hazlehurst Pentecostal Church of God at 3:00pm with Pastor Terry and Tammy Davis and Pastor Joe Davis officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Interment will follow in the Hester Family Cemetery, 24 Hester Road, Hazlehurst.

All co-workers employed with Pilgrim’s Pride will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Ethan Gibbs, Jayden Cothran, Andrew Sifuentes, Noah Sifuentes, Bill Wilcox, and Tony Rowell will serve as active pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
