Mr. Earnest Breedlove Jr., age 86, of Hazlehurst, died Friday, August 16, 2024, at his residence.
Mr. Breedlove was born on April 08, 1938, in Jeff Davis County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Earnest Breedlove and Vernie Mae Buckins Breedlove, and his son, Bobby G. Breedlove.
He was self employed as a Master Boat Builder and a member of Oakland Baptist Church.
He was a man of integrity, excellent provider, a work acholic, always working extra jobs to have his little extra spending money.
Also, he was a great cook, and was famous for his vegetable soup, and at his church gatherings he was expected to do just that.
In his younger years, he enjoyed playing the guitar, fishing and working for Mr. Will Dawson and Mr. Earnie Parlor on their farm. He loved his family, and he will surely be missed.
Survivors include his wife of 66 years, Mrs. Sarah Deese Breedlove of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Patty Breedlove of Hazlehurst; brother, Richard Breedlove of Hazlehurst; sister, Missie Jackson of Alford FL; grandchildren, Tony Breedlove (Melisa), Jesse Breedlove, Stevie Burkett, Jamie Breedlove, Bobby Breedlove and Sarah Breedlove; many special great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be held Monday, August 19, 2024, at 11:00AM in the Oakland Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Royce Hulett officiating.
Sharon Stanfield, Wilbur Breedlove, Oakland Church Family, Regency Southern Care Hospice Staff: Nerissa Aldridge, Andrew Williams, and Jacqueline Baker will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Tony Breedlove, Jesse Breedlove, Bobby Breedlove, Ethan Picanso, Kase Disharoon and Josh Riley will serve as active pallbearers.
