Elizabeth Diann (Smith) Clifton

Mrs. Elizabeth Diann Clifton, better known as Grammie, age 77, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Saturday, August 2, 2025, at Hazlehurst Court Care.

She was born on March 8, 1948 in Waycross to the late Robert Harold Smith and Mildred Sheppard Smith. She was known for always being there when you needed someone and always had your back regardless of the situation.

She preceded in death by her children, Jerry Wayne Love, and Lisa Marie Owens; and her special dog, Little Man.

Her family includes her grandchildren, Bradley Vance Owens, Jesse James Owens, and Ashley Leeann Owens; and her great-grandchildren, Malaysia Marie Jordan, all of Hazlehurst; her daughter-in-law, Dottie West, and several nieces and nephews and other extended family that cared for Grammie.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Clifton family are in charge of arrangements.
