Mr. Elmer Stewart (Stu) Broom Jr., age 92, of Hazlehurst, died on Sunday, October 08, 2023 at Lake View Retirement Home in Baxley.

Mr. Broom was born on August 06, 1931 in New Port News

Virginia.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Elmer Stewart Broom Sr and Myrtle Victoria Parker Broom, sisters, Jean Amos and Sharon Adams, and brother Jack Broom.

Mr. Broom was a Veteran of the United Sates Air Force with 20 years of service and a member of Southside Baptist Church.

His family said the Military was his life and he will surely be missed by all.

Survivors include his wife, Lola Mae Bowen Johnson Broom; daughter and son-in-law, Janice Johnson Duvall (Jeff) of Baxley; three sons, Thomas Brown, Billie Brown of TX and Stacey (Candice) Johnson of Macon; seven grandchildren, Julie Clements, Jacob Clements, Jonathan Duvall, Shelby (Adam) Fletcher, Ryan Johnson, Brice Johnson, Hunter (Taylor) Johnson also survive.

Services will be announced at a later date.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
