Ms. EuRee Wood Taylor, age 84, of Denton passed away Saturday, January 20, 2024, at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Ms. Taylor was born in Jeff Davis County.
She is preceded in death by her parents, George and Eula Burkett Wood, daughter, Shana Dawn Day and son, Todd Taylor, brother, Jimmy Wood. She was retired and a member of Macedonia Church of God. Ms. EuRee was a sweet gentle spirit; she was always so-so kind. She enjoyed sewing crocheting, listening to gospel music and going to church, she loved her church family. She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them.
Her family said the Dairy Queen was Ms. EuRee’s second home because she enjoyed their Banana Splits.
Survivors include her two daughters and son-in-law, Jan and David Medders of Hazlehurst and Julie Hughes of Hazlehurst; son and daughter-in-law, Scott C. and Debbie Taylor of Denton; nine grandchildren, Cody, Tyler, Alexia, Amanda Julianna, Sharah, Anna, Cole, and Aubrey; eleven great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandson; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 22, 2024, at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Bruce Tanner
Officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service time. Interment will follow in the Burkett Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Josh Sheffield, Anthony Rowland, Keaton Corbitt, Weston Harper, Dylan Calhoun and Matt Willis.
Wainright-Parlor is in charge of all arrangements for Ms. EuRee Wood Taylor, age 84, of Denton.
