Gary Bowman Obituary

Mr. Gary Dale Bowman, of Lumber City, died Friday, November 18, 2022, at Memorial Hospital in Savannah.

Mr. Bowman was born May 26, 1953, in Cookeville Tennessee.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army and enjoyed his service and travel so much, that he retired with 18 years plus of service and attended the Lumber City Methodist Church. Gary loved watching movies on television and listening to music. He was talented in many areas around the house; a great handyman.

 

Survivors include his wife Betty Jean Cooper Bowman of Lumber City;  daughter, Sabienna Bowman of Lumber City; sons, Thomas Shane Hulett (Mary) of Hazlehurst, Jason Hulett (Tonja) of Hazlehurst, William Gary Bowman (Michelle) of Tennessee and Daniel Levi Bowman (Angel) of Tennessee; sisters, Wanda Bowman of Tennessee and Carolyn Scarlett of Tennessee; brothers, Bobby Bowman and Bill Bowman; a special nephew, Chad Shepherd of Lumber City; and Eleven grandchildren.

 

The funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Thursday, December 8, at the Lumber City Methodist Church with Rev. Andy Brownley officiating.

 

The Bowman family may be contacted at the residence, 11 N. Church Street, Lumber City.

 

The Bowman Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
