Gerald Brown

Mr. Gerald Brown, age 75, of Hazlehurst, passed away June 18, 2024. Gerald was born August 14, 1948, to the late Eugene Brown and Eudell (Beecher) Brown. Gerald was a member of Satilla Freewill Baptist Church in Hazlehurst. Gerald enjoyed fishing, traveling, and cooking; he often cooked for extended family and friends.

Mr. Brown is preceded in death by his parents; sister, Hilda Brown; brother, Jimmy Brown; and son, Ryle Brown.

 Mr. Brown is survived by his wife, Shannon (Ryle) Brown; son William Lee Brown of Hazlehurst; daughters, Jo-Anna Boutwell (Jay) of Alamo and Wendy Phillips (Randy) of Vidalia; sister, Virginia Holloway (James) of Macon; brother, Tommy Brown and Billy Brown both of Hazlehurst; grandchildren, Macey Phillips, Abby Phillips, Summer Boutwell and Emma Boutwell.

Services will be held Sunday, June 30, 2024, at 2:00 PM at Wainright Parlor Funeral Chapel. Rev. Sam Holland will officiate.

 In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to Satilla Freewill Baptist Church in Hazlehurst.
