Glynn Aycock Obituary

Mr. Glynn Thomas Aycock, age 83, of Hazlehurst, passed away Tuesday, May 21, 2024, at Pleasant View Nursing Center in Metter.

Mr. Glynn was born April 21, 1941, in Appling County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Jasper Bayne Aycock and Pauline Dykes Aycock. He was a Veteran of the United States Army and served as a member of the Jeff Davis Masonic Lodge.

He enjoyed his livelihood, Farming, and fishing, and was a member of the Satilla Free Will Baptist Church.

Mr. Glynn’s mannerism was of a man that was straight forward, strong willed, independent, and a hard worker.

In early years he enjoyed his time as a coach for the baseball and football teams with the recreation department. Also, he was the proud owner of Glynn’s Sporting Goods in his younger years.

He loved his family dearly, enjoyed spending time with them and especially his grandson Zander.

Survivors include his wife Mrs. Linda Pace Aycock of Graham; two sons and daughter-in-law, Reggie Aycock of Atlanta and Chuck and Kresha Aycock of Hazlehurst; one grandson Zander Aycock of Hazlehurst.

Visitation and funeral services will be held Saturday, May 25, 2024, at Satilla Free Will Baptist Church, visitation will begin at 10:00am and the funeral will follow at 11:00am with Rev. Paul Smith officiating.

Interment will follow in the church cemetery.

The family can be contacted at the Aycock residence, 780 Graham Zoar Road, Baxley.
