James Adams Obituary


Mr. James Adams, age 75, of Hazlehurst died Wednesday, May 25, 2022 at his home.
Mr. Adams was born November 20, 1946 in Appling County.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Kent Adams and Beulah Mae Dean Adams, wife, JoAnn Bryant Adams and son, James David Adams. Mr. Adams was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and attended Hazlehurst Church of God of Prophecy.
He enjoyed fishing, growing a garden, cooking but most of all he loved spending time with his family.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Lisa A. and Tim Reagin of Hazlehurst; brother, Lonnie Adams (Sharon) of Baxley; Special Friend, Cherise Walker of Hazlehurst; grandson, Rudy Pritchett (Kara Taylor) of Hazlehurst; great-grandson, Ace Pritchett and another bundle of joy to arrive at a later date; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, May 28, 2022 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will be at 9:00am and funeral service will follow at 10:00am with Rev. Randy Manning officiating.
Interment will follow in Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Matt Simpson, Danny Hardwick, Tony Adams, Jamie Adams, Brett Miles and Alex Grantham.
The family may be contacted at the residence, 181 Bridgeford Church Road, Hazlehurst.
The Adams Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
