James Randall Carver

Mr. James Randall Carver, age 60, of Denton, passed away on Saturday, February 1, 2025 at St. Joseph’s Candler Hospital in Savannah.

Randall was born on March 2, 1964 in Douglas, Georgia to the late Tootsie and Mary Davis Carver. He was a lifelong resident of Denton and attended Carvers Chapel Holiness Church. Randall was a jack of all trades, and there was nothing he couldn’t fix. If he didn’t know, he would figure it out. His family describes many of the things he fixed as being “Randall-ized.” He was always willing to help anyone he could. In his spare time, Randall loved fishing, and spending time with his family, who he loved dearly.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his brothers, Jeff Carver and Kenny Davis; and his sister, Denise Carver.

His family includes his fiancé, Valerie Patton of Denton; his sons, John Stapleton and Shane Stapleton, both of Denton; his daughters, Kayla Turner (Stephen) of Baxley, and Shelby Adams (Stacy) of Uvalda; his brother, Tommy Carver (Ginger) of Denton; his grandchildren, Allie Lytle, Payten Lytle, Tate Adams, and Talen Adams; and several nieces, nephews, and friends.

The funeral service will be held on Wednesday, February 5, 2025 at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Loyd Burkett and Charlie Kight officiating. The family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until just prior to the service.

Interment will follow in Carvers Chapel Cemetery.

Pallbearers will be Kyle Carver, Brett Carter, Chris Kirkland, Ryan Carver, Jerry Braun, and Dawson Ward.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to James Randall Carver’s funeral fund at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home to assist with expenses.
