Mrs. Jeneane Wilcher Smith, age 79, of Snipesville, passed away Thursday, August 22, 2024, at her residence.
Mrs. Smith was born on April 11, 1945, in Bibb County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow and Edna Ward Wilcher and a member of the Mt Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a homemaker, and she took her job seriously. She enjoyed watching TV, she was an avid fan of Elvis Presley and enjoyed going to the mall shopping. Also, she enjoyed vacationing with her family at Daytona Beach. Her grandchildren (knew her as memama), they truly were a treasure to her, she loved spending time with them and her entire family. She will be sadly missed by all.
Survivors include her husband, Alfred Smith of Snipesville; her son, Gregory Smith of Snipesville; daughter, Gina Smith Rozier of Darien; brothers, Danny Wilcher (Alice Ann) of Winder and Gregory Scott Wilcher (Kathern) of Toccoa; her sister, Terrie Stephens (Allan) of Panama City; four grandchildren, Lance Smith, Cameron Rozier, and Jenna Batten (Jake), Janay Smith; four great-grandchildren, Hunter Smith, Bryson Smith, Jentri Batten and Asher Brewer; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation will be held Friday, August 23, 2024, at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church from 7:00-9:00pm.
Funeral Services will be held Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 2:00pm at Mt Pleasant Baptist Church with her sister Terrie Stephens giving a Eulogy, and Rev. Doug Weisel and Rev. Heath Carver officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
Honorary active pallbearers will be her great-grandsons, Hunter Smith and Bryson Smith.
Active pallbearers will be Loyd Johnson, Darrell Hutto, Dustin Hutto, Jerry Wooten, Kirk Munsayac, and James Smith.
