Jerry Alan Floyd

Mr. Jerry Alan Floyd of Hazlehurst, age 51, passed away October 11, 2022, at Meadows Memorial Hospital in Vidalia, GA. Jerry was born January 15, 1971, in Swainsboro to the late William Floyd, Jr. and Sandra Nell Thorne Floyd.

Mr. Floyd served in the United States Army during desert storm as a special ops team member. He was a wood-worker by trade who enjoyed fishing, hunting, and traveling. He was a devoted family man and enjoyed spending time with family and friends. His nieces and nephews were very special to him. He also enjoyed the companionship of his dog Stella.

Mr. Floyd is survived by his wife: Amanda “Mandy” Floyd; mother: Nell Floyd; brother-in-law: Willis Conrad Jr. (Amber) of McRae, Bobby Conrad (Courtney) of Glenwood; sister-in-law: Dedra Herrington of McRae; several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be Monday, October 17, 2022, Wainright-Parlor visitation will begin at 10:00AM, with funeral service following at 11:00AM. Interment will be in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery with Rev. Gary Toole officiating.

Wainright-Parlor will be in charge of arrangements.
