Joshua Eugene Jones

Mr. Joshua Eugene Jones, age 43, of Uvalda, passed away at his residence, on March 08, 2023.

Mr. Jones was born June 26, 1979, in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his mother, Debra Ann Bass Jones.

His family called him a Simple Man, he was a Sheet Metal Mechanic and a member of Union #85. His work gave him the opportunity to travel all around and see many things. He was a Big Georgia Football Fan and enjoyed watching the games. But most of all he loved his family and spending time with them.

Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Paige and Chase Rojas of Tenn; two sons, Andrew Jones of Uvalda and Gavin Jones of Lumber City; father, Timothy Edward Jones of Uvalda; sister and brother-in-law, Anna and John Faulk of Denton; siblings, Tosha Hampton (Shane) of Hazlehurst, Joli Rogers (Tim) of Hazlehurst, Lesa Rowland of Hazlehurst and Bobby Rowland of Alamo; significant other "Ol Lady" and High School Sweetheart, Angie Thornton; five grandchildren, Abrahm and Eden Rojas and Dakota, Addie, Paisley Jones, several nieces, and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 11, 2023, at 2:00 pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, following the graveside services will be held in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery at 3:00 pm, with his uncle Jay Murray officiating.

The Jones Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
