Ms. Judy Lee Brown, age 79, of Lumber City, passed away on Monday, February 2, 2026, at Hazlehurst Court Care and Rehabilitation Center under the care of Community Hospice.
Judy was born on March 22, 1946, in Lumber City, to the late Clinton S. Webb and Lois Smith Webb. She was a native and lifelong resident of Lumber City and was a faithful member of Lumber City Baptist Church. Judy was a Christian lady who loved the Lord and lived her life with strong faith.
Judy was known for always having something sweet waiting at her house. She loved baking cakes, and family and friends could count on her kitchen always being full of warmth and good food. Her grandchildren proudly claimed she was the best chicken fryer in the world. She enjoyed fishing, thrift store shopping, and hunting for hidden treasures wherever she went. She also loved reading and staying on the go. Judy had a dry sense of humor and loved playing jokes on others, always keeping her family laughing. More than anything, she was family-oriented and deeply loved her children and grandchildren. She cherished every moment spent with those she loved most.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Helen Brown; and her brother, Ronald Webb.
Judy is survived by her son, Berry (Treacie) Moore of Lumber City; her daughter, Vickie Moore of Hazlehurst; her sister, Kathy Griffin of Lumber City; 6 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Graveside services will be held on Thursday, February 5, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. at Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City with Pastor John Daughtry officiating.
Active pallbearers will be Bryce Burkett, Chris Griffin, and her grandsons, Zachery Moore and Drake Moore.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Judy’s granddaughters-in-law, Brittany Moore and Autumn Moore, along with nurses Beth Carter and Samantha Lankford, and all the nurses and staff of Hazlehurst Court Care and Rehabilitation and Community Hospice for the loving care and compassion shown to Judy prior to her passing.
Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Brown family are in charge of arrangements.
