Larry Carter Obituary

Larry Dupree Carter, age 78 of Hazlehurst, GA, passed away on February 28, 2023.

 

Mr. Carter was an engineer for Hazlehurst Mills and served in the Korean War in the Army. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and loved to tinker with everything. He is preceded in death by his parents, Clinton and Doris Rentz Carter.

 

He is survived by his son, Clint Carter, daughter, Wren Carter Manning (Randy) of Hazlehurst, brothers, Ronald Carter (Mary Ann) of Hazlehurst, Mark Carter (Rhonda) of Baxley, grandchildren, Landon Carter, Carson Carter, Caitlyn Carter, Cheyne Browning, Cross Browning, and Braelyn Hodge.

 

Serviced for Mr. Carter will be held graveside on Thursday, March 2, 2023, at Mt. Zion Baptist Church cemetery beginning at 2:00 PM. Rev. Thurman Hayes and Rev. Randy Manning will officiate.

 

All family and friends in attendance will be recognized as honorary pallbearers.

The family may be contacted at the daughters' residence, 664 Old Graham Road, Hazlehurst.

 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Carter family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
