Larry Livingston Obituary

Mr. Larry Livingston, age 78, of Lumber City, passed away Sunday, November 24, 2024, at his residence.

Mr. Livingston was born on April 25, 1946, in Telfair County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Verdon A. Livingston and Lillie White Livingston, wife, Nina Jane Pope Livingston, granddaughter, Keri L. Connor, sister, Kathryn Miles and brother, David Livingston.

He was a simple and hardworking man, an avid Braves fan, and was always ready to lend a helping hand if there was a need.

He was a Veteran of the United States Army, the owner and operator of Livingston’s Restaurant in Lumber City, and he attended Lumber City Methodist Church.

Survivors include his two sons and daughters-in-law, Greg and Becky Livingston and Bryan and Sonya Livingston both of Lumber City;  brother-in-law, James Pope (Dorothy) of Hazlehurst; four grandchildren, Jesse Livingston (Brittany), Lindsay Towne (Cole), Noah Livingston and Gracie Livingston; 5 great-grands, Jack Livingston, Camilla Livingston, Ezra Connor, Raelyn Connor, Caleb Connor; several nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held, Wednesday, November 27, 2024, in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 10:00am and the funeral to follow at 11:00am with Rev. Brad Purvis officiating.

Interment will follow in the Riverside Cemetery.

All friends and family in attendance will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Jeff Miles, Timmy Lee, Johnnie Smith, Ron Wilcox, Frank Gore and Craig    Stinson will serve as active pallbearers.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of all arrangements.
