Latosha Nicole Hampton, 44, of Hazlehurst, Georgia, passed away peacefully on June 7, 2025, at Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, Georgia, surrounded by the love of her family.
Born on January 15, 1981, in Jeff Davis County, Latosha was known for her boundless love, her generous heart, and her devotion to her family. She spent many cherished years as a homemaker, raising her daughters with warmth and care. Later, she found great joy in working as a preschool teacher at Mt. Zion Learning Center, where her love for children continued to shine.
Latosha enjoyed cooking delicious meals, camping trips that turned into lasting memories, and quality time with her family and friends. She had a special way of making others feel loved and welcome—her kindness left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
She is preceded in death by her brother Josh Rowland, her father Bobby Rowland, and her stepmother Jackie Rowland.
Latosha is survived by her loving husband, Shane Hampton; her daughters Tayilor Hampton (Brandon McGuirt) and Amberly Wigley (Trey Wigley); her treasured grandchildren Kensley Wigley, Brantley McGuirt, Braxton McGuirt, and Adalee Jane McGuirt; her mother Genie Renew (Glenn Renew); and several siblings, nieces, and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 11, 2025, at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 12, 2025, at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home in Hazlehurst, GA, with Rev. Nathan Dyal officiating. Burial will follow in the Liberty Community Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Cory Hall, Lee Hall, Tanner Hall, Devin Deas, Drake Deas, Dylan Deas, Trey Wigley, and Brandon McGuirt.
Honorary pallbearers will be the Jeff Davis High School Class of 1999, and the staff and students of Mt. Zion Learning Center.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home to assist the family during this time.
