Linda (Thornton) Burkett

Mrs. Linda Thornton Burkett, age 62, of Hazlehurst, passed away on March 07, 2025, at Houston Medical in Warner Robins.

Mrs. Burkett was born on February 01, 1963. She is preceded in death by her parents, J.R. Thornton and Loree Parlor Thornton, and her husband, Willie Burkett.

She was a native and lifelong resident of Hazlehurst. She always had a kind word and a big smile for you. She enjoyed fishing, doing crafts and was a member of Oakland Baptist Church.

Her family includes her sister and brother-in-law, Judy and Joey Andrews of Hazlehurst; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral Services will be held on Sunday, March 09, 2025, at 3:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Brother Joey Andrews officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to service. Interment will follow in the Oakview Church Cemetery.

Craig Parlor, Ashley Waters, Devin Oldham, Ivey Oldham, Jason Brant and Jason Taylor will serve as active pallbearers.
