Linda Faye (Hughes) Tanner

Ms. Linda Faye Tanner, age 68, of Alma, passed away on Sunday, February 9, 2025 at her home.

Linda was born on June 17, 1956 in Hazlehurst to the late Joe Otis and Merleen Hughes. She was raised in Hazlehurst and lived in Douglas for several years before settling in Alma. In her spare time, she enjoyed going to yard sales.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her sister, Janice Prescott; and her brother, William Hughes.

Her loved ones include her sons, William Robyn Crosby of Graham, John Tanner (Kristen) of Valdosta, and Joe Tanner of Alma; her sisters, Susan Walker of Douglas, Belinda Hughes of Warner Robins, and Tish Kelly of Atlanta; her grandchildren, William Dalton Crosby, Devin Howard Crosby, Cadence Drake Crosby, Robyn Dax Crosby, Shady Tanner, Ayden Tanner, Addyson Tanner, Kassidy Tanner, Tyler Tanner, and Abby Tanner; and several nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 15, 2025 at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Pastor John Tanner officiating. Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until just prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
