Lonnie Jackson Sheppard Sr

Mr. Lonnie Jackson Sheppard, Sr., age 79, of Roanoke Ala, formerly of Lumber City, died Tuesday, December 27, 2022.

Mr. Sheppard was born on April 24, 1943, in Telfair County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Columbus Sheppard and Nellie Johnson Sheppard, his wife, Clara Dianne Hulett, his children, Jack Sheppard, Tony Sheppard, and Tina Sheppard, and two sisters.

In his younger years he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and the outdoors, he was an avid Nascar Fan and he enjoyed watching old Westerns.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Dorcas Griffin of Roanoke Ala.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Saturday, December 31, 2022, at 11:00 am in the Riverside Cemetery with Ms. Dorcas Griffin giving the Eulogy.

The Sheppard Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
