Louise Sellers Obituary

Ms. Louise Creamer Sellers, age 82, of Hazlehurst, died Monday, April 11, 2022 at Navicent Atrium Health Medical Center in Macon.

Ms. Sellers was born August 01, 1939 in Jeff Davis County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, George Washington Creamer Sr. and Mary Winnie Bryant Creamer, husband, John Low Sellers, daughter and son-in-law, Brenda Kay and Tony Powell, brothers, Rev. Sam Creamer, George Creamer, Junior Creamer, Cecil Creamer, Willis Creamer and sisters, Edna Moody and Myrtice Tucker.

She was retired from Amoco Fabrics and a member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and a member of the Cemetery Committee.

Ms. Sellers was a kind and gentle spirit, always speaking softly, and always smiling.  She loved her family dearly and enjoyed spending time with them especially her grandchildren. She was an awesome mother and grandmother; her grandchildren knew her as their GiGi. When she was not taking care of her family, she loved studying her Bible, cooking, shopping and fishing. She will truly be missed by all that knew her and loved her.

 

 Survivors include her son and daughter-in-law, Johnny and Melonie Sellers of Hazlehurst; sisters, Clarine Cannon of Hazlehurst and Lucille Flowers of Wilson N. Carolina; brother, Herman Creamer of Jacksonville FL; six grandchildren, Kristie Powell Rowell (Matthew), Joshua Kevin Sellers, Dustin Anthony Powell (Angel), John Kasey Sellers (Brindy), Stephanie Causey (William) and Ashlie Marie Sellers; sixteen great-grandchildren, several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Thursday, April 14, 2022 in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 11:00am and funeral service will follow at 1:00pm with Rev. Gary Jones and Rev. David Barber officiating.

Honorary pallbearers will be all members of Oak Grove Baptist Church and all friends and family in attendance.

Active pallbearers will be Matthew Rowell, William Causey, Tye Rentz, Anthony Flowers, Dearl Creamer and Sammy Smith, alt. will be Randy Cannon.

The family may be contacted at the granddaughter’s home, Kristi and Matthew Rowell, 1034 Altamaha Road, Hazlehurst.

The Sellers Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
