Marice Rollins Obituary

Mrs. Marice Carter Rollins, age 73, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, October 11, 2020.

 

Mrs. Rollins was born April 08, 1947 in Appling County, but resided in Jeff Davis County.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Lanice and Lucille Hall Carter. In heaven awaited her husband of 47 years, Clinton Rollins Jr., a son, Jerry Rollins and other loved ones there to welcome her home.

Mrs. Rollins had battled the struggles in life with health complications. She was taken to Jeff Davis Hospital where she was called home to be with her savior and family.

 

She was a mother of seven children, Jerry Rollins, Gary Rollins, Terry Rollins, Larry Rollins, James Rollins, Gene Rollins and Ann R. Johns. She attended Bible Baptist Church for many years where she served and praised her savior. Grandchildren, Heather Rollins, Alisha Rollins, Jasmine Rollins,  Anthony Johns, Sarah Johns, Breanna Rollins, Summer Rollins, Kathlyn Rollins, Toby Rollins, Harley Rollins, Joni Rollins, Stephanie Rollins;  great-grands, Gage Darley, Tristen Rollins, Clinton Esquivel, Noah Esquivel; great-great grandsons, Milo Rollins and Landon Waldon.  

 

Visitation and Funeral services will be held Wednesday, October 14, 2020 at Bible Baptist Church, visitation at 10:00am and funeral service at 11:00am with Rev. Manfred Gilbert officiating. Interment will follow in the Rocky Branch Cemetery.

 

Pallbearers will be Gary Rollins, Larry Rollins, Jeff Johns, Timothy Mullis, Terry Rollins and Randy McCullin.

 

The family may be contacted at the Rollins residence, 302 Tommy Harrell Road, Hazlehurst.

 

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, the Rollins family and Wainright Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to wear a mask and follow the social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
