Ms. Marilyn Cooper Trowell, age 78, of Hazlehurst died Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Hazlehurst Court Care.
Ms. Trowell was born September 26, 1942 in Jeff Davis County. She is preceded in death by her parents, Charles Thomas Cooper and Nancy Dyal Cooper, husband Robert Trowell, and sisters, Mildred Williams, Patsy Smith, Ann Evans, Inez Graham and brother, Glenn Race.
She was a retired seamstress from Hazlehurst Lingerie. She will be fondly remembered for her mouthwatering biscuits and her love for Elvis and was always ready and willing for a game of rummy.
Survivors include daughters, Robbie M. Creamer of Hazlehurst, Katherine E. Griffin of Cochran, Deborah Sue Marlowe of Leesburg, Betty Jean Carter (Tony) of Hazlehurst; son, Bruce E. Trowell (Ellen) of Nicholls; sister, Linda Garrett; brother, Glenn Race; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside funeral services will be held Saturday, January 23, 2021 at 11:00am in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Bobby Lairsey and Mr. Jimmie Ryles officiating.
