Marlene (Smith) Strickland

Ms. Marlene Smith Strickland, age 75, of Hazlehurst died Friday, December 10, 2021 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Ms. Strickland was born September 22, 1946 in Coffee County. She is preceded in death by her father, Odis Carroll Smith.

She was retired from Amoco Fabrics and attended Bell Street Church of God. Ms. Strickland’s hobbies were watching TV, she enjoyed shopping, loved animals and spending time with her family.

Survivors include her mother, Marjorie Mullis Smith of Hazlehurst; sister and brother-in-law, Carlene Smith Gauler and Edward of Hazlehurst; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Odis Buddy and Brenda Smith of Hazlehurst and Jack Carroll and Kathy Smith of Hazlehurst; several nieces and nephews also survived.

Funeral Graveside Services will be held Friday, December 17, 2021 at 11:00am in the Hazlehurst City Cemetery.
