Mr. Mason Pedro Morrison, age 61, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at Memorial Health University Medical Center in Savannah.
Born on June 25, 1964, in McRae to the late John B. Morrison and Barbara Jean Livingston Morrison, Pedro lived his entire life in Jeff Davis County. He worked faithfully as a master pressman for more than 20 years, printing the Tri-County Shopper, a role in which he took great pride. He was also a devoted member of Philadelphia Baptist Church. Pedro was known for his intelligence and gentle heart. He loved to read, enjoyed farming, and was an avid chess player—earning a state championship title during his high school years. He also cherished watching Jeopardy! with his wife, Wanda, a daily routine that brought them joy.
Though he had no children of his own, Pedro was a father figure to many, offering guidance, support, and steady wisdom to anyone who needed it. He had a deep love for his cats and was rarely seen without a smile or a kind word. His good spirits, thoughtful advice, and steady presence touched countless lives.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his beloved wife, Wanda Rowland-Morrison; and his brother, Archie Morrison.
Pedro is survived by his brothers, Lamar Farmer (Beverly) of Kentucky, John Morrison, Richard Morrison (Trisha), Robert Morrison (CJ), Lex Livingston, all of Hazlehurst, and Phillip Morrison (Brandy) of Alma; his sisters, Carrie Morrison of Hazlehurst, April McBroom (Shane) of Baxley, Elexandra Morrison (Gary Medders) of Hazlehurst, and Mary Crowe (Mike) of Baxley; and numerous nieces and nephews.
