Mr. Max Marlon McLoon, age 74, of Lumber City, died Saturday, November 07, 2020 at Navicent Health Medical Center in Macon.
Mr. McLoon was born January 04, 1946 in Jeff Davis County. He was preceded in death by his parents James Gordon McLoon Sr. and Louise Beall McLoon, sister, Marion McLoon Smith and brothers Jim McLoon, Van McLoon, and Bill McLoon. He was a Veteran of the United States Air Force, proudly serving with the 820th Red Horse Civil Engineering Squadron in Tuy Hoa Vietnam from September 1966 to August 1967.
He was retired owner and operator of MCCO, Inc. Trucking and a member of Lumber City Baptist Church where he proudly served as a Deacon.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Gail Powell McLoon; daughters and sons-in-law, Pam and Jason Flanders of Byron and Cindy and Todd Vickers of Warner Robins; grandchildren, William Clayton Flanders, Jackson Todd Vickers, Philip Max Vickers and Emily Lauren Vickers; Sister, Ann (Bennett) Dixon of Pooler and sisters-in-law, Annie Ruth McLoon and Kat McLoon, and brother-in-law, Donnie Smith; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, November 10, 2020 at 2:00pm at Lonnie Powell Memorial Cemetery with full Military Honors, with Rev. Ashley Tyree and Mr. Terry Brown officiating.
