Melissa (Missy) Carol Calhoun

Miss. Melissa Carol (Missy) Calhoun, age 51, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, January 27, 2022 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

Missy was born July 23, 1970 in Jeff Davis County.

She is preceded in death by her father, Richard C. Calhoun. 

Missy had the BIGGEST heart, she loved everyone and every one loved her. She enjoyed drawing and sending out cards and letters of encouragement to her friends that needed up lifting, also she enjoyed singing gospel music and attending the Hazlehurst Church of God where she was a member. She will be sadly missed by all that knew her and loved her.

Survivors include her mother, Brenda Elkins Calhoun of Hazlehurst; sister and brother-in-law, Leslie Calhoun-Carelock (Bryan) of Pooler; niece, Bryanna Carelock and nephew, Ethan Carelock both of Pooler; also several cousins also survive.

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Monday, January 31, 2022 at  11:00AM at  Bridgeford Church of God Cemetery with Rev. Ronald Cobb, Rev. Richard Lewis and Rev. John Thomas officiating.
