Meridith Lynn Patel

Mrs. Meridith Lynn Patel, age 46, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Thursday, May 14, 2025 at Jeff Davis Hospital.

She was born on June 8, 1978, in Douglas, GA. She was raised in Jacksonville, GA and lived most of her life in Hazlehurst. She was Christian by faith and a deeply caring and nurturing soul who brought warmth and comfort to everyone around her. She had a true gift for looking after others — always putting friends and family first — and she embraced her role as a mother and grandmother with boundless love.

She found joy in watching her favorite shows, listening to music, visiting the ocean, and spending meaningful time with her loved ones, especially her grandbaby. Those who knew Meridith will remember her motherly nature, her generosity, and the way she always made people feel cared for.

Meridith is preceded in death by her father, Elza Hulett.

Survivors include her husband of 17 years, Ronak Patel of Hazlehurst; her son, Joshua Nipper of Atlanta; her daughters, Sara Moebus of South Carolina, and Andrea McDermott of Hazlehurst; her mother, Ruenett Brady of Tennessee; her brothers, William Brady of Tennessee, and Robert Brady of Warner Robins; her sisters, Kelly Hulett, and Amber Hulett, both of Pensacola, FL; her grandchild, Hayden Moebus of South Carolina; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Monday, May 19, 2025, from 2:00 P.M. until 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home. Following visitation, a cremation ceremony will be held at Ricketson Funeral Home and Crematory in Douglas with Maharaj Devang Bhatt officiating.

Burial will be held on Tuesday, May 20, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. at St. Paul Holiness Church Cemetery.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Patel family are in charge of all arrangements.
