Michael Elma Hand

Mr. Michael “Mike” Elma Hand, age 62, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Friday, February 7, 2025 at HCA Florida Memorial Hospital in Jacksonville.

He was born on April 3, 1962 in Hazlehurst where he lived the majority of his life. He was Baptist by faith and enjoyed fishing and watching football.

Mike is preceded in death by his father, George Elma Hand; and his brother, Bobby Lee Hand.

His loved ones include his mother, Mildred Joan Hand of Hazlehurst; his son, Kevin Hand of Hazlehurst; his daughter, Jessica Highsmith (Robert) of Hazlehurst; his brother, Jerry Hand (Carolee) of Hazlehurst; his sister, Cathy Parlor of Savannah; four grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.

The family will hold a graveside memorial service on Saturday, March 1, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. in the Bridgeford Church of God Cemetery.
