Michael Allen Wilcox

Mr. Michael Allen Wilcox, age 67, of Hazlehurst, passed away Monday, October 21, 2024 at his residence after an extended illness.

Mr. Wilcox was born in Bacon County to the late Theo Admiral Wilcox and the late Lynett Louise Wood Wilcox.  He was a retired carpenter and homebuilder and a member of Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church.  He enjoyed the outdoors, hunting, fishing, caring for his animals, and time with friends.  He is preceded in death by an older brother, Gregory Theodore Wilcox.

Survivors include one brother, Brian Kenneth Wilcox of Damariscotta, ME; two sons, M. Shawn Wilcox (Stacy) of Virginia Beach, VA, and Jamie Allen Wilcox of Allyn, WA; his life companion, Karen Belinda Carver of Hazlehurst, GA; and three grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at Philadelphia Missionary Baptist Church cemetery with family and friends at a later date.
