Naomi Jacobs Obituary

Ms. Naomi Beaver Jacobs, age 89, of Hazlehurst, died Thursday, January 26, 2023, at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

 

Ms. Jacobs was born on August 30, 1933 in Wayne County.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Samuel Beaver and Anna Lee Rozier Woodcock, brothers, Curtis Beaver, Ardell Beaver, and Walker Beaver, and a sister, Virginia Beaver. She attended Hillcrest Baptist Church and was retired from Walmart.

Ms. Jacobs had a kind gentle spirit, always a soft sweet word and a smile.

When going into Walmart she greeted you with a smile. She loved her family and especially her grandchildren and she will be sadly missed.

 

Survivors include her two daughters, Sandra Jacobs Carver (Danny) of Hazlehurst and Susan Jacobs Leggett of Hazlehurst; son, Gary M. Jacobs of Hazlehurst; seven grandchildren, Ashley Jacobs (Lyndsay), Dawn Jacobs (Paul), Stephanie McDade (Shawn), Kristi Fountain (Warren), Danny Carver Jr., Tiffany Turner, and  Ryan Leggett (Alexis); fifteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 28, 2023, in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 1:00 pm and the service will follow at 2:00 pm with Rev. John Daughtry officiating.

Interment will follow in the Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery. 

 

All family and friends will serve as honorary pallbearers.

 

Active pallbearers will be Ryan Leggett, Danny Carver, Jr., Conner McLoon, Jordan McLoon, Ashley Jacobs, and Tre Carver.

 

Musical selections will be rendered by Rev. Ronnie Wilcox, Jr.       

 

The Jacobs Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
