Patricia Chaney Obituary

Mrs. Patricia Colson Chaney (Judy), 79, of Hazlehurst, passed away on April 18th, 2023.

Mrs. Chaney was born on May 6th, 1943, in Jeff Davis County to the late Lemuel Earl Colson and the late Bernice Fern Livingston Colson. She was a homemaker and loved being a mother to her five children. She was preceded in death by her husband, Richard Marrell Chaney; sisters, Frances Butler, Carolyn Rentz; brother, John Earl Colson; grandsons, Samuel Chaney and Paul Chaney.

Survivors include her children, Richard Marrell Chaney, Jr. (Ashley) of Axson, GA, Meghan Chaney Parris (Michael) of Boiling Springs, SC, Jonathan Chaney of Donalsonville, GA, Candace Chaney of Gaffney, SC, and Ashley Chaney of Hazlehurst, GA; granddaughters, Abigail Chaney and Courtney Pollock; grandsons, Aaron Chaney and Jeremi Chaney; and several nieces and nephews.

Services will be held on Thursday, April 20th at 1 pm in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with the Rev. Jack Chaney officiating.

The Chaney Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
