Obituary

Patrick (Pat) Chapman, age 71, of Hazlehurst, died Sunday, June 26, 2022 at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

 

Mr. Chapman was born October 21, 1950 in Jeff Davis County.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Phillip Felder (Felt) Chapman and Jeanette Calhoun Chapman, sister, Teresa C. DalPorto, and brother-in-law, Johnny Brewer.

He enjoyed locating and collecting antiques, plundering at yard sales and spending time with family.

 

Survivors include his sisters, Jan C. Phipps of Uvalda and Donna C. Brewer of Lumber City, brother, Phil Chapman (Carlene) of Hazlehurst, brother-n-law, Angelo DalPorto of Olivehurst California; and a host of nieces and nephews.

 

Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Saturday, July 02, 2022,

visitation will begin at 8:30-10:30am at Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and graveside service will follow at 11:00am in the Shiloh Methodist Church Cemetery in Lumber City with Rev. Jeffery Spell officiating

 

Honorary pallbearers will be drivers of Paul Thigpen Automotive.

 

Active pallbearers will be Phillip Chapman, Bryan Brewer, Jeff Brewer, Branden Chapman, Josh Ernst, and Marshall Hulett.

 

Musical selections will be rendered by Rev. Jeffery Spell.

The Chapman Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
