Mr. Robert R. Powell, age 91, of Lumber City, died at his residence on Saturday, November 19, 2022.
Mr. Powell was born December 01, 1930, in Jacksonville Ga.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Othella Owens Powell, parents, Henry Foster Powell and Eliza Mathis Powell, siblings, Imogene Shumans, Inez Hipps, Billie Faye Knowles, Henry Foster Jr., and James W. Powell.
He was a Veteran of the United States Army, serving during the Korean Conflict, an entrepreneur, and a Fishing Creek Baptist Church member. He was involved with law enforcement, served as a security guard, and was an employee of Lumber City Egg Marketers. He enjoyed hunting and fishing, and especially, enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Angie and Joey Browning of Lumber City; son and daughter-in-law, David and Mary Powell of Denton; three grandchildren, Michael (Melodie) Browning, Delvin Powell, and Jessica (Shawn) Folk; seven great-grandchildren, Danielle, Anna, Hannah, Gabby, Allie, Gabe, and Kadence; two great-great-granddaughters, Ivy and Stormi; several nieces and nephews also survive.
A Family Memorial Service will be held at a later date.
