Roger Dale Colson

Mr. Roger Dale Colson, age 58, of Hazlehurst, passed away Monday, January 20, 2025, at Memorial Health Hospital in Savannah.

Mr. Colson was born on April 05, 1966, in Coffee County, but Jeff Davis County has been his home.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Norman Glenn Colson and Glenda Roberson Colson, and his sister, Camille Colson.

He was a member of Union Springs Baptist Church and previously employed with Dane Ursery Logging.

He was a strong will person, worked hard all his life, loved his wife, family and especially his little dog “Molly”.

He will be sadly missed.

Survivors include his wife, Tammy Elaine Norris Colson of Hazlehurst; sisters, Donna Colson Johns and Sheila Colson Moseley both of Hazlehurst; his brother, Norman Colson of Hazlehurst.

Funeral Services will be held Saturday, January 25, 2025, at 1:00pm in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Rev. Merle Webster officiating.

His family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will follow in the Oak Grove Baptist Church Cemetery.

All family and friends in attendance will serve as honorary pallbearers.

Brent Moseley, Will Moseley, Drew Johns, John Faulk, Zack Ursery, Chris Carter and Pete Carter will serve as active pallbearers.

Per the family request, in lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Colson Family is in charge of arrangements.
