Roy Roberson Obituary

 

Mr. Roy Everett Roberson, age 79, of Hazlehurst, died Tuesday, November 22, 2022, at Community Hospice in Vidalia.

 

Mr. Roberson was born November 09, 1943, in Snipesville.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Archie Vernon Roberson and Ruby Williams Roberson, son, Rusty Roberson, and brother and sister-in-law, Clyde and Faye Roberson.

He was a retired farmer and enjoyed taking care of his farm animals.

He was a simple Man, a man of few words, but his actions always spoke volumes.  His character always portrayed a strong will, he never complained, he showed endurance in any situation, and he had the courage to see things thru. He will be sadly missed by his family and friends.

 

Survivors include three daughters, Cheryl (Binky) Williams of Hazlehurst, Amber Adams of Snipesville, and Cherry (Dennis) Middleton of Jesup;  son, Chan Roberson of Hazlehurst; sisters, Tammy (Bobby) Miller of Graham; brothers, T.J. (Evelyn) Roberson of Hazlehurst, Bobby (Nell) Roberson of Hazlehurst, and Danny Roberson; thirteen grandchildren, Jennifer Kirkland (Lucas), Ashley Rowland (Jordan), Keri Altman (Cole), Chandler Roberson  (Haley), Remington Roberson (Haylee), Landon Roberson (Rylie), Alyssa Roberson, Allie Grace Adams, Zoee Adams, Jaxson Adams, Erika Middleton, Kyle Middleton, and Daniel Middleton; three great-grandchildren, Zeb, Cohen, and ViVi; several nieces and nephews also survive.

 

Graveside Funeral Services will be held Friday, November 25, 2020, at 11:00 am at the Oak Grove Baptist Church with Rev. David Miller officiating.

 

In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to the Community Hospice of Vidalia or the charity of your choice.

 

The musical selections will be rendered by Mr. Will Moseley.

 

The Roberson Family and Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home respectfully ask all in attendance to continue to follow social distancing guidelines set by our local health district and the CDC.
