Our beloved mother & grandmother, Ruby Spell Walsh Manning, age 99, was born September 28, 1922 in Coffee County. She was welcomed by her parents Lester & Dora Spell; sister Alice Yarbrough; sons Johnny LaVerne Walsh & Bill Walsh; daughter in laws Anita Walsh, Carla Walsh & Lynn Walsh; granddaughter Jana Walsh; and grandsons Chandler Alexander & Billy Scott Walsh.

Ruby is now watching over her sons, Carroll Walsh (Betty), Richard Walsh, Mike Walsh all of Hazlehurst, Danny Walsh of Baxley & Bob Walsh (Minnie) of Sumter SC, grandchildren, Don Walsh (Rhonda), Donna Brewer Walsh, Tonya Ogletree (Charles), Kristie Butler (Eric), Jennifer Walsh, Rena Walsh, Keith Walsh, Stacey Walsh and Jason Walsh all of Hazlehurst, Joni Durden (David) of Gainesville, FL, Jaime Ashley (Chris) & Joel Walsh of Scotland, Kimberly King (Jeffery) of Richmond Hill, Lisa Spell of Brunswick, Jeffrey Walsh of NC, Anita Yewman of SC, Mike White of CA and Jessica Beardsley of NC, 33 Great Grand Children & 17 Great Great Grand Children, Special Cousin Olene Beecher, Nephew Wayne Davis (Betty), Dear Friend Bessie Taylor, Fur Babies Pepper, Lulu (Snowball) & Sadie (Blackface).

Ruby loved playing bingo & other activities while a resident at Lumber City Nursing Home. Ruby always wanted to be dressed to a “T” with her hair jet black, red lipstick & her blingy jewelry. The blinger the better. Ruby enjoyed visiting Gail Hester her beautician & Gail Nuygen her nail technician to be pampered. Swinging through Dairy Queen for an ice cream was always a treat.

Celebration of Ruby’s life will be held Friday, January 21st beginning with visitation @ 10:00 am with service immediately following @ 11:00 am in the Chapel of Wainwright & Parlor Funeral Home. Ruby will be laid to rest beside her late husband Coey Colby Manning in the Colesburg Cemetery Woodbine, Ga.
