Mr. Stafford Lee Morris, age 84, of Hazlehurst, passed away Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Lumber City Nursing Home.
Mr. Morris was born May 29, 1937 in Jeff Davis County.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Morris and Alma Hutchinson Morris, wife, Elaine Minton Morris, sister, Jeanette Clifton and brother, Virgil Morris. He was retired from Hazlehurst Mills and enjoyed fishing and farming. He loved his family and always loved spending time with them.
Survivors include his 8 nieces and nephews, William Morris of Penn, George Clifton (Bonnie) of Hazlehurst, John C. Morris (Janice) of Hazlehurst, Gail Durden of Hazlehurst, Selena Spivey (David) of Griffin, Regina Minton of Hazlehurst, Johnny Minton (April) of Hazlehurst and Jessica Villalba (Dusty) of Hazlehurst; several great and great-great nieces and nephews also survive.
Graveside Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, February 23, 2022 at 2:00pm at Hazlehurst Memorial Cemetery with Rev. Charles Carter officiating.
All past employees of Hazlehurst Mills will serve as honorary pallbearers.
Active pallbearers will be David Spivey, Dusty Villalba, Johnny Minton, Alex Hampton, Wesley Cleveland and Ethan Morris.
