Stanley Carr Obituary

Mr. Stanley Wayne Carr, age 77, of Perry, passed away on Friday, June 27, 2025, at Atrium Health Navicent Hospice Pine Pointe in Macon.

He was born on August 23, 1947, in Louisville, Kentucky to the late Clifford Phillip Carr, Sr. and Carolyn Catoe Carr. He proudly joined the United States Air Force at the age of 17, where he served his country with honor and dedication for 20 years. After retiring from active duty, he continued his commitment to service by working as a civil servant at Robins Air Force Base in Warner Robins, retiring a second time after another 20 years.

He believed in helping others—always willing to lend a hand to anyone in need. Stanley had a love for life that showed in his favorite pastimes. He enjoyed visiting casinos, going on cruises, playing cards, and traveling whenever he could.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Peggy Williams Carr; and his brother, Clifford Phillip Carr, Jr.

His family includes his son, Kristopher Carr (Jamie) of Bonaire, GA; his daughter, Nikki Carr of Temple, GA; his brother, Rick Carr (Linda) of Kentucky; his grandchildren, Makayla Dowd (Kyle Maas) of Warner Robins, Layton Bryant, Skylar Carr, Laney Bryant, and Sydney Carr, all of Bonaire; his great-grandson, Elijah Maas; and a special companion, his dog, Angel.

The funeral service will be held on Monday, June 30, 2025, at 12:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with David Miller officiating and military honors rendered by the Jeff Davis County Veterans Association.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 A.M. until just prior to the service.

Burial will follow in the Riverside Cemetery in Lumber City.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Carr family are in charge of arrangements.
