Rev. Steve Toler, age 64, of Hazlehurst died Sunday, May 30, 2021, at Emanuel Medical Center in Swainsboro.
Mr. Toler was born August 11, 1956 in Jeff Davis County. He is preceded in death by his parents, Cleveland Randolph Toler and Lucy Jane Taylor Toler, and brother, Glenn Toler.
Mr. Toler’s heart was being a God called Preacher and Pastor, but his trade was being a Mechanic at his Shop known as Tolers Garage. Mr. Toler also served as County Commissioner for two terms, was a Jeff Davis Firefighter, First Responder and an avid coon hunter. He was the founder and pastor of New Beginnings Church.
Survivors include his wife, Rose Knight Toler of Hazlehurst; daughter Jodie Marie Toler of Hazlehurst; brothers, Johnny Toler (Elaine) of Hazlehurst; Jimmy Toler (Emily) of Hazlehurst; sisters, Clara Allagood of Hazlehurst and Dorothy Deen of Hazlehurst; three grandchildren, Austin Hayes, Brice Hayes and John Caleb Hayes; several nieces and nephews also survive.
Visitation and Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 02, 2021 at Zoar Baptist Church, visitation will begin and 10:00am and funeral will follow at 11:00am with Rev. Wayne Williamson and Rev. Robert Wigley officiating. Interment will follow in the Satilla Baptist Church Cemetery.
Active pallbearers will be Ricky Allagood, Randy Partin, Tim Partin, Johnny Toler Jr., Jamie Toler and Chad Toler.
