Stevie Kirkland

Mr. Stevie Kirkland, age 63, of Hazlehurst, passed away January 13, 2025, at his residence.

Mr. Kirkland was born on September 18, 1961, in Jeff Davis County.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Kirkland and Mary Morris Kirkland, son, Steve Leon Kirkland, brothers, Jimmy Kirkland, Johnny Kirkland, David Kirkland, Wayne Daniel Kirkland and his nephew Lee Kirkland. He retired from Hazlehurst Mills and from Amercord.

Stevie loved fishing, playing cards, and he was also known to have a witty personality. Everyone said Stevie was the life of the party; he loved making everyone laugh and made sure they had a good time. He loved his family and will be sadly missed by all.

Survivors include his daughter Heather Nicole Kirkland Meyers; granddaughter, Isabella Riggs, two grandsons, Christian Meyers and Trenton Kirkland, great-grandson, Kayden Kirkland; brother, Ricky Carl Kirkland of Fla.; his sisters, Betty Joe (Robert)Tanner of McRae, and Jeanette  (Gary) Jones of Baxley; and sister-in-law, Shirley Kirkland of Milan; several nieces and nephews also survive.

A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, January 18, 2025, from 1:00 -2:00pm  in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home with Mr. Eddis Kirkland and Sam Kirkland officiating.

Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home and the Kirkland family is in charge of all arrangements.
