Stevie White Obituary

Mr. Stevie White, age 62, of Lumber City, passed away Monday, November 06, 2023 at Jeff Davis Hospital in Hazlehurst.

Mr. White was born April 7, 1961 in Telfair County.

He is preceded in death by his father, James Thomas White (J.T.), father-in-law, James Harold Brewer, brother, Greg White, brother-in-law, John Montgomery, nephew, James White, and a niece Ashley Ussery.

Stevie was a logger for all of his adult life. His nickname was

Termite because he cut down trees better than anyone. He drove a log truck the last ten years until his health deteriorated.

He enjoyed hunting, fishing, Nascar and spending time with his family.

The essence of Stevie is he was one of the good ones. A true red blooded American. His wife lost her soul mate, his children and grand-children, their superman. When he loved you, he loved you with his whole heart. He found it hard to show sometimes but he always had your back.

His Loss is devasting to us all. But the love we shared transcends all space and time.

Survivors  include his wife, Katherine Brewer White and son, Drasan White of Lumber City; four daughters, Stephanie White of Workmore, Angel White of McRae, Amanda Crystal White (Maggie) of Lumber City, and Amber White of Snipesville; mother, Joyce Elliott of Eatonton; sisters, Wanda Montgomery and Michelle Johnson of Eatonton; grandchildren, Chase White,  Caleb James, Jacob Gibson, Taylor Scott, Kaiden Gibson, Madisyn Roberson, Noah White, Haggard Turner and Cash Turner; one great grandson; mother-in-law, Merle Brewer, sister-in-law, Jackie Ussery, brother-in-law, Wendell Brewer; many aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation and Memorial Service will be held Wednesday, November 08, 2023, in the Chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home, visitation will begin at 1:00pm and service will follow at 2:00pm with Mr. Kelly Griffin officiating.
