Terry Lynn (Smith) Cason

Mrs. Terry Lynn Cason, age 67, of Hazlehurst, passed away on Thursday, February 27, 2026, at Lumber City Care Center, under the care of Community Hospice.

She was born on February 8, 1959, in Manhattan, Kansas to the late Grady Vasco Smith and Marie Willene Hester Smith. Terry Lynn had been a resident of Hazlehurst for most of her life and was a woman of faith who cared deeply for others. She was outgoing, loving, and always willing to help anyone; if you knew Terry, you had a true friend for life. She enjoyed watching her “stories,” westerns, The Price Is Right, NASCAR races, and football, especially cheering for her all-time favorite, Dale Earnhardt, and the Georgia Bulldogs. She also had a special place in her heart for her dogs, Skye and Everest. Terry’s kindness, warmth, and love will be deeply missed by everyone who knew her.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Henry Cason.

Terry Lynn is survived by her sons, Dakota Cason (Kaitlyn) of Hazlehurst, and D.J. Cason of Macon; her daughters, Stephanie Thompson (Chad), and Halie Cason, all of Macon, and Kaylee Clegg of Hazlehurst; her brothers, Ray Smith (Lisa), and Buddy Smith (Sherry), all of Hazlehurst; her sister, Sandy Daniels (Michael) of Hazlehurst; 13 grandchildren; her beloved dogs, Skye and Everest; her special friend, Ronnie Hutcheson, and several nieces and nephews.

A celebration of life service will be held on Thursday, March 5, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. in the chapel of Wainright-Parlor Funeral Home.
